I took the reference photo for this painting at the Omaha zoo, but I like to think of this bear as living free in the arctic somewhere, surrounded by snow and ice, thinking about dinner, or philosophy, or some other pleasant thoughts. This painting may be one of my new favorites.

    Beautiful bear, yes I agree he should be roaming free. Love the fur it looks so soft, also your loose brushstrokes.
